I'm sure that we've all met or heard of (or even at one point held the belief ourselves!) that modern music is shit. I've even had to live with a guy like this! And trying to convince them that anything released past the year 1990 is anything other than meaningless noise about sex drugs and money is impossible. Well if that's you, or that's someone you know, or maybe even that's you right know, and you've decided to make a change, this website is for you!!! below I've laid out a potential path of albums I think are as genre defining, experimental from the past 30 years that are certainly worth your attention. If you're more experienced then these choices will seem obvious to you, but this website is meant to serve as a good starting point to those like my roomate who have spent their whole live's only listening to Pink Floyd and the Ramons to the modern music scene!
what're you interested in? I suggest picking your favorite genre first and foremost if it's here. If not, or you want a little guidence, I would recomend the rock section if you're interested in politics and the world around you, and I'd reccomend hip-hop if you're more interested in self reflection. That being said there's plenty of overlap and you should just pick whatever interests you :)
